Transform an everyday T-shirt using reverse appliqué inspired by leaves, flowers, and other botanical forms. Layer, hand stitch, and cut away the top fabric to reveal a contrasting design underneath.

No sewing experience is required. If you can thread a needle, you can do this.

What to bring

  • A cotton jersey t-shirt in a solid color (lighter colors are better)
  • Small scissors
  • Reading glasses (if you use them)

What I will provide

  • Stencils
  • Hand sewing needles and embroidery floss
  • Heat Erasable Pen
  • Contrast fabric for applique
